At the 2011 AGM we also celebrated the founding of the East Berwickshire U3A, in June 2000. We were delighted  to have  with us several of the original founders. The originator of the idea was our beloved TOM CONWAY and we wished  to recognize his major contribution by awarding him a Certificate of Recognition along with a life-time membership.

 

 

To celebrate this event some of the members volunteered to give cameo performances to help to celebrate the occasion of the EB U3A reaching their decade. The audience enjoyed poetry, a soloist, a sketch, play reading, some humour and even a tune from the bagpipes.  A great occasion showcasing the fun and talents within the members.
